Weir Works Underway

Work is underway on Weir 1 by F.D. Civil who were the successful tenderer let by the Sands Owners corporation for the repairs required for Weirs 1,3 &4. The repair work will be completed over the next three months.

The final design for the repairs on Weir 5 (which is the final weir before the water flowing through the Sands Estate enters the wetlands), has now also been approved. This is a far bigger job and we are hopeful that it will commence before the end of the current financial year.
