Where we spend our money

The budgeted administration expenditure chart represents OC1’s expected expenditures for the current financial year ending on
June 30 2022. It is worth noting the following:

  • $40,000 has been budgeted for legal which is for the current VCAT case with OC5, the new development at the end of Lahinch Mews. We are currently in negotiations with OC5 to settle this matter
  • OC1 management includes costs associated with the transition from Whittles to Ace, insurance, auditing and accounting services
  • Communications includes $5,000 for the upgrade of the website to take into account the transfer of the planning responsibilities to the Surf Coast Shire Council and greater detail about the Karaaf Wetlands
  • Estate compliance auditing has already been completed by the architect who headed up the the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) and his findings of non-compliance will shortly be communicated to lot owners
  • The OC2 rebate is paid because OC2 has very little nature strip for their 102 lots. A formula has been agreed to repay the OC2 lot owners for the fees charged by OC1 for nature strip maintenance for which they do not receive a service
