Nature Strip Maintenance: Monday 11 – 25 November
The maintenance of nature strips – sand seeding process will commence Monday 11th of November these works continue over a week to a fortnight rain, hail or shine. They will be concentrating on areas that are bare away from the base of the tree where the seed has a chance of surviving.
Once the work has been completed we request that residents water to keep the seed alive. The key to this is to keep the seed moist over the first 2 weeks to give the seed a chance to germinate. Soon as the seed completely dries out it’s all over at the seed will not germinate.
From 1st November the team will be fertilising all nature strips, with exception where residents are looking after their own lawns. We are hoping the rain bands hit us tonight and over the weekend to help with the process.
