The Sands Community celebrated the festive season with a family party at Peppers on Friday 14 December at 6pm. A crowd of approximately 160 people of all ages attend the event in the Balmoral and Harrow rooms of the hotel.
A delicious range of finger foods was served and drinks were available from the bar. The adult food included antipasto plates, pork buns, roast tomato & goat cheese tartlets, mini beef pies, mini pizza, sushi rolls, and caprese on skewers. The children had mini pies, sausage rolls, chips and chicken nuggets.
Entertainment for the adults was provided by a very talented keyboard/vocalist, Rohan Windle from Haze music. Rohan played carols and other favourites from his long playlist. The children’s entertainment was proved by popular Willow Star and included temporary tattoos, dancing and games.
Father Christmas arrived by golf cart, ringing his bell, and was enthusiastically greeted by the large crowd of children. Santa and his helper gave all the children a bag of lollies.
The party was a free family party, and after some singing and dancing the event finished at 9pm.
